New York was lovely, but I still think my city heart is for Chicago. NY feels like you are on a backlot at Universal Studios. And everything looks like it needs a bath. On every visit to NYC I feel like everyone knows I am a not a native, it's like they can smell the mitten on me. Chicago, everyone is 'hey, lemme buy you a beer,' but NY is like 'f*n move it.' I did have a nice run in Central Park - people watching added an accidental 20 extra mins to what was supposed to be a leisurely jog.
The best-worst award for the trip goes to the NYC menus, which list out how many calories you are about to inhale, or you were. Everywhere from McD's to the finer restaurants clearly mark calories on their menus. It's smart if you ask me, like MI deposit recycling deal. Certainly made me go "...the crap have I been eating." However, Yorkers seem to have already forgottan bout it.

And I get it people, spring fever, but if I had a candy bar for every time I saw a couple sucking serious face I'd be in a diabetic coma. Typically you know I am interested in someone if I don't go near them in public. P-rivate D-isplay of A-ffection.
I might be an adult, but I swear I could eat cereal for each meal. I know there are the cereal bars (ala Cereality) out there, and yes secretly I would love to visit one. Anyway, Dan has given me a great tribute to the Discontinued Cereals. I am purdy sure I have tried the majority of the sugary concoctions on this list. Ahh, the days of sugary cereal and Saturday morning cartoons, or maybe a little Zoobilee Zoo.

Mikey Likes It – Move over Hut, the cone is the new thing for Pizza. Seriously, omnomnom. We are trying to figure out how to make this one. Heather, let me know what you come up with for Thirsty Thursday night.
Fatty Funday here. If there is one thing I love, it’s the cupacake! You best cover your eyes before this recipe makes you go running to the market. The Oreo cupcake + Oreo cream cheese frosting + mini homemade Oreo cookies + chocolate liqueur cup filled with milk recipe looks like something from the Paula Deen, William Shatner & Bill Nye cookbook. MUST HAVE!

And lastly, thank you Clark Little for reminding me of a place I would much rather be.
